Indonesia has a similar island prison Alcatraz in the United States. The difference is in prison on the island is still active. Nusakambangan in Central Java has a high-profile prisoners.
The oldest prison built in 1908 and still working. County jail in the eastern part of the island is protected. Be careful when in the prison area. Locals believe dozens of snipers ready to shoot.
