SEMARANG CITY



             Semarang City is the Capital of Central Java province, Indonesia. semarang is a city led by mayor of Drs. H Soemarmo HS, M.Si and deputy mayor Hendrar Prihadi, SE, MM. It's located about 466 km east of Jakarta, or 312 km west of Surabaya, or 624 km southwest of Banjarmasin (via air). Semarang bordering the Java sea in the north, in the east of Demak, Semarang district in the south, and the District of Kendal in the west.
             Semarang residents generally are javanese and use the java language as the daily language. Adopted the majority religion is Islam. Semarang has a large Chinese comunity. As in other areas of Java, Especially in Central Java, they are closely with the locals and use the Java language in communication since hundreds of years ago.

SERIMPI DANCE


Serimpi dance is a dance danced by four female dancer. Where each gets the title : water, fire, wind and earth. Beside dance also symbolizes the human symbolizing the four directions of the compass. Being  a role name Batak, Gulu, Dhada, and Buncit. It's composition rectangular pillars symbolizing the verandah. As Bedhaya dance, Serimpi dance nothing holy or sacred is Serimpi Anglir Cloudly.

BONDAN PAYUNG DANCE



This dance originated from Surakarta. This Bondan Payung dance depictsa young woman who was holding a stuffed toy and an open umbrella, dancing carefilly steppedon the pitcher and should not be broken. In other words, this dance symbolizes a mother who keep their children carefully.

GAMBYONG DANCE


This Gambyong dance is one type of social dances in the community. usually begins whit the piece pickaxe. Look beautiful and elegant dance when the dencer are able to align with the rhythm of drum motion.

ANGSA DANCE



Angsa dance describes the majestyof the goddess, accompanied by a group of geese. In this dance there is a combination of eastern and western cultures. Usually Angsa dance was performed by female dancer seven people (one person acts as goddess dancer and six dancer as the swans).

MERAK DANCE CENTRAL JAVA


Merak dance is the one ofthe most populer dance of Central Java. As the name of this dance is the dance that symbolizes the peacock bird movements. in general, the dencers also wear a crown shaped peacock bird's head.

OPOR TYPICAL FOOD CENTRAL JAVA

OPOR AYAM




Opor is a type ofdish cooked and braised in coconut milk from Indonesia, especially from Central Java. In Indonesia the term opor refer to the method of cooking in coconut milk. Opor is popular dish for lebaran Idul Fitri, usually eaten with Ketupat and sambal goreng ati (beef liver in sambal).

Ingredients
The main ingredient is meat (chicken, egg or beef) cooked in coconut milk with a mixture of spices consisting of palm sugar, lemongrass, lemon leaf, ground garlic, shallot, candlenut, black pepper, galangal, coriander, and cooking oil. Opor has a whitish color and a watery and almost soupy coconut milk like consistence.

CENTRAL JAVA GUDEG




             Gudeg is a traditional food Yogyakarta and Central Java, Indonesia. Gudeg is made from young jackfruit or called Goriboiled for several hourswith palm sugar, and coconut milk. Additional species include garlic, shallot, candlenut, corianderseed, galangal, bay leaves, and teak leaves, the lattergiving a reddish brown colorto the dish. It's also called Green jack Fruit sweet stew.

             Gudeg is served with white rice, chicken, hard-boiled egg, tofu or tempe, and a stew madeof cripsbeef skin (sambal goreng krecek).

LUMPIA SEMARANG


              Lumpia Semarang is a kind of food rollade containing bamboo shoots, egg and chicken or shrimp. The taste of lumpia Semarang is a fusion between Chinese and Indonesian flavor because made by Chinese descent who is married to and Indonesian and settled in Semarang, Central Java. The food is starting to be known in Semarang sold and when the party was held at the sports event the genefo the reign of President Soekarno.
